Coming 2 America movie review.

@amazonprimevideo released the highly upcoming sequel Coming 2 America tonight, and I just watched it. The movie stars Eddie Murphy as Akeem, Arsenio Hall as Semmi, Wesley Snipes as General Izzi, James Earl Jones as King Joffer, Tracy Morgan as Uncle Reem and Jermaine Fowler as Lavelle. The storyline is about Akeem learns he has a bastard son in Queens and he must learn the ways of a prince and its culture. This takes place 30 after Akeem left Queens, New York. This is a funny movie. It’s not as great as the first one, but there’s plenty of laughs and old nostalgia in this sequel. Eddie Murphy was great, loved all the characters he did. Arsenio was great as well. I think that you will love all the characters even the new guy played by Jermaine Fowler. He added a different touch, and it worked. The storyline was very good, not the class as the first movie. It is entertaining as hell. Also there is a lot of cameos in this movie, but there was one that I wish was in it. You will know after watching this movie. There is also a reference and a scene from a old movie that Eddie Murphy did and I hope you catch it. It was a blast to watch and I’ll probably watch it again. I’m so glad Eddie wis making great movies again. My rating is 8/10 #coming2america #eddiemurphy #arseniohall #jamesearljones #lesliejones #jermainefowler #sequel #primevideo #zamunda

Movies that you might have forgotten!

Bloodsport starring Jean Claude Van Damme who plays Frank Dux. This movie is based on a true story. It came out in 1988. The storyline is about Frank Dux an American martial arts expert, who is serving in the military. Decides to leave the army to compete in a martial arts tournament in Hong Kong where fights to the death are common. If you remember back in the 80’s we had plenty of martial arts movie. But to me this tops them all. Jean Claude is just great. This movie made him a huge movie star. You will love the fighting and he scenery of Hong Kong. The cast of characters are great. Frank and Jackson have good chemistry together. The main villain is such a bad ass. Bolo Yeung played Chong Li . Definitely watch him fight. The action scenes are great. This movie will have you cheering for Frank and booing the bad guys. Some say this is the Rocky of martial arts movies. In some ways it is. But Frank won. Rocky didn’t in the first movie. I think you will enjoy this movie and have lots of fun with it. It is available on Cinemax and Blu-ray. My rating is 8/10.

The Little Things movie review

I finally decided to watch the movie The Little Things that star Denzel Washington as Deke, Rami Malek as Jim and Jared Leto as Albert. The storyline is about Deputy sheriff Joe Deke Deacon is sent to LA for a quick evidence grab, but instead he becomes involved in the search for a serial killer who is terrorizing the city and the police. Now going into this movie, I was looking forward to see how Denzel and Rami worked together and see if Jared can actually play a villain. Now I did like he chemistry between Denzel and Rami. They worked really well together. Now Jared Leto character doesn’t deserve a golden globe nomination. Yes he was creepy but the acting was dull. He don’t acted like a supposed serial killer, just some creep that the cops think did it. The storyline was good, but great. I did like the story of Deke and his background character. And wish I knew more on Rami’s character Jim. Just wished that the movie focused more on the killer than each crime . Some say that this is trying to be another movie Se7en. This movie is not even close to that movie. The characters are good, but I think some of the characters are just there to be seen. This is a good movie to watch, the acting with Denzel and Rami are good. They are worth the entertainment, Jared Leto nope. Wish they had picked another actor for the role. Tomorrow is the last day to watch it on @hbomax . Try to watch it or wait till Blu-ray. My rating is 6/10. #thelittlethings #hbomax #warnerbros #denzelwashington #ramimalek #jaredleto #serialkiller #homicide #la #oscarwinners

This isn’t the movie se7en.

X-men Dark Phoenix movie review.

So me and my family has been on a X-men binge and I’ve never watched the movie Dark Phoenix. The movie stars James McAvoy as Professor X, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawerence as Raven, Nicholas Hoult as Beast and Sophie Turner as Jean Grey. The storyline is about Jean Grey begins to develop her powers that came from a cosmic force that turns her into a Dark Phoenix. Causing the X-men to decide if her life is worth more than humanity. Now I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews on this movie. It bomb at the box office and I never just sat down for it. This movie isn’t as bad people and critics say. The 2 problems I have are it was too short and I wanted a back story on the villains. We got a little bit from Jessica Chastain character, but that’s it. I wanted more . Now the cast of characters are good, most definitely love Magneto. He definitely kicks major ass. (side note) Can we have a major movie of just him please! I also liked Nightcrawler. The storyline was ok, just wanted more of it. The action scenes were good. The best scene is when they are on the train. That was insane. Is this the worst movie in the X-men franchise? No? If I were you I would give this movie another chance and watch . It’s available on Amazon Prime and HBO Max. My rating is 6/10. #xmen #darkphoenix #professorx #magneto #beast #storm #cyclops #quicksliver #nightcrawler #franchise

It could’ve been more!

Crime Scene: The Vanishing at Cecil Hotel.

Last night and today I watched the @netflix original documentary Crime Scene: The Vanishing at Cecil Hotel. This documentary tells you the story of Elisa Lam who went on a trip to LA, just to get away and then ends up missing. Now I love a good documentary about murder. whodunnit, and conspiracy . This documentary has it. Now the first 2 episodes are outstanding. You see the history of the Cecil Hotel and how it came to be . You will also see the downfall of the hotel and its surroundings. Which is awful to see and hear. But the story is about Elisa Lam. Was she murder? Raped? Or still missing. That’s what makes the first 2 episodes great. The last 2 not so much. It’s all about the @youtube people who try to solve this mystery. They try to dissect the video of her and dissect her Tumblr messages. I don’t want to go into more detail on what they did, which is pretty sad on their part. You can be the judge on them. The last episode put everything together and made the YouTube people look kinda stupid. You still might think it’s still a conspiracy around her and the hotel. But just watch it and understand everything in front of you. Always look it up before blame someone or something. I think that you will like this documentary and it will make you think. My rating for this is 6/10. Thoughts? #netflix #crimescene #cecilhotel #losangeles #skidrow #murder #missing #vanishing #drugs #bipolar

Throwback Monday! Diggstown movie review.

Throwback Monday. Diggstown starring James Woods as Gabriel, Louis Gossett Jr. as Honey and Bruce Dern as John. The storyline is about Gabriel’s released from prison. His con man friend makes a foolish bet with Diggstowns owner on who’d win the boxing matches. Their man against ten Diggstown men. I absolutely forgot about this movie. This movie came out in 1992 and I was a huge fan of Louis Gosset Jr. the trailer got me sucked in and it was a really good movie. James Woods and Louis Gossett has good chemistry together. You will definitely hate Bruce Dern character and the rest of the cast isn’t bad either. The storyline is most definitely far fetch since Louis’s character was 56 years old, back then and you don’t see boxers fighting. Anyway this is a fun, entertaining movie to sit back and watch. This movie is not available on any streaming services. You can find it on Blu-ray. Hopefully it will come out on them. My rating for this flashback movie is 7/10. #diggstown #jameswoods #louisgossettjr #brucedern #boxing #conman #throwback #flashback

The con is on!

Framing Britney Spears review

Last night I watched the New York Times episode of Framing Britney Spears. This was recommended by @g_reelz . This documentary episode show you the rise and fall and controversy of Britney Spears and her family. If you grew up in the late 90’s early 2000’s you knew who she was and her music. With her Baby one more time song and video that launch her into iconic status. Spoilers ! The fans, the media and the paparazzi were obsessed with her. This documentary show how the media asked her questions you don’t ask a young girl and how the media showed her sex appeal. What is shocking is how the paparazzi hounded her and her family control her and told her what to do. Yes she did go crazy and I didn’t know why until I watched this episode. The one thing that every Britney fan wants is. To hear her side of the story. Her parents want talk neither will her family. So @britneyspears please talk to us and let us know how you are and what’s going on. Tell your side of the story. This is highly recommend to watch, if you are or not a Britney fan. It’s available on @Hulu . No rating on this episode, it’s a must watch for everyone. #britneyspears #freebritney #conservatorship #control #familybattle #babyonemoretime #stronger

Crimson Tide movie review.

Here’s this weeks movie that people might have forgotten.

Crimson Tide starring two Oscar winners Gene Hackman as Ramsey and Denzel Washington as Hunter. The storyline is about a nuclear middle submarine that a young first officer stages a mutiny to prevent a trigger happy captain from launching his misses before confirming his orders. This is one powerful , entertaining movie by two outstanding actors. You will feel the intense by both actors. I thought they gave Oscar performances, but that’s my opinion. There’s not much action scenes, just a lot of talking and smack talking. But this movie will put you on the edge of your seat. The cast of characters are worthy. You have Viggo Mortenson, James Gandolfini, Ricky Schroder & Steve Zahn. Before they became famous. This movies isn’t available on any streaming services, unless you pay for it. I would buy it 4K .

This is a outstanding movie that a lot of people need to watch and just love two characters and their performances. My rating is 10/10.

Palmer movie review

Tonight I decided to watch the @appletv movie Palmer. Starring Justin Timberlake as Palmer, Ryder Allen as Sam and Alisha Wainwright as Maggie. The storyline is about a former football star who’s life is destroyed, but after being released from prison. Palmer strikes up a friendship with a boy from a troubled home. Now this is a wonderful movie to watch. Justin Timberlake gave his best performance. I’ve never seen him like this character. He’s always the happy, go lucky guy. The other characters are very good. You’ve got up give it up to Ryder Allen who played Sam. He did a wonderful job. I know some of you might not like the storyline of Sam. They didn’t really push it in your throats. Just like Palmer said. He’s just a kid with issues. The rest of the storyline is still very good, but the one thing I wish that they fixed was the last 30 minutes. Felt rushed ? Wish that they would have worked around it. That’s the only problem with this movie. If you have a soul and a heart I think you will love this movie like I do. This movie is available on @appletv . My rating for this movie is 8/10. #palmer #justintimberlake #appletv #ryderallen #alishawainwright #junotemple #fisherstevens

Chaplin movie review.

Every Monday I’m going to go back in time and introduce you to a movie that either you or I have forgotten. This movie came out in 1992. Today’s movie is Chaplin starring Robert Downey Jr as Chaplin Geraldine Chaplin as Hannah, Anthony Hopkins as George, Dan Aykroyd as Mack & Kevin Kline as Douglas Fairbanks. The storyline is about the troubled and controversial life of the master comedy filmmaker Charles Chaplin. This is directed by Richard Attenborough. This is a wonderful movie. Robert Downey Jr was simply great as Chaplin. You will love watching him perform, before he got huge in Iron Man. You will see the highs and lows of Chaplin, of how he fought for his movies and the love of comedy. To make people laugh. That was his goal. Yes he was controversial in his movies especially the Great Dictator when he played Aldof Hilter. People still hate him for doing that movie, but the movie is just making fun of him, that’s it. The cast of characters are brilliant. They bring out everything in this movie and Chaplin. My favorite character is Kevin Kline as Douglas Fairbanks. The movie was nominated for 3 Oscars, including best actor, best art direction and best original score. This movie is available on @hulu and @amazonprimevideo Hope you enjoy going back in time and watching something you’ve never seen or heard of. My rating for this classic movie is 8/10. #charliechaplin #robertdowneyjr #chaplin #thegreatdictator #comedy #controversial #anthonyhopkins #danaykroyd #geraldinechaplin #kevinkline
